Five Fall Outfits I’m Loving
Fall is my favorite time of year for fashion, but September can be tricky! That summer to fall transition is so dramatic. We’re ready for fall outfits, but it’s still unseasonably warm outside. Below are five fall outfits I’m loving right now!
The perfect casual date night look! This outfit could easily be paired with booties and a jacket when it gets a little chillier.
If you have a fall wedding coming up – easily transition a summer dress by adding a moto jacket!
You’ll be the coolest mom at school drop off while staying comfy in this look. This sweater silhouette is hot for fall as well as these sherpa mules.
I love this look for fall family photos! The colors in this dress give you lots of options for what to pair with the rest of the family.
This look is perfect for brunch on a patio and will carry you all through fall.
I had so much fun making this post! Let me know what you think about the five fall outfits I’m loving. If you like these types of outfit roundup posts let me know in the comments and I’ll do more. Thank you so much for reading and sharing!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021 Picks
The 2021 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is open for early access TODAY! I’m so excited to share my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021 picks with you. I look forward to this sale all year. Every year, Nordstrom releases brand new fall merchandise at a discounted price. This means you get to stock up on trends and basics for fall early, and the prices go back up after the sale is over. It’s one of the only times of year that I buy now to wear later. This year the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale dates are July 28th through August 8th. However, if you are a Nordstrom card holder you may be able to start shopping today based on your status. Below is a breakdown of the dates.
Now onto the good stuff. I’ve broken down my picks by clothing category as well as shoes, accessories, beauty, and home items. Starting off with sweaters, this year’s trends are all about chunky, interesting knits. We’re also still seeing cute feminine details like little collars and puff sleeves.
Sweater Picks
Dress Picks
When it comes to dress for fall 2021 think long and lean styles, feminine prints, and matching sets. All of these can be worn with a boot or a booty and a leather jacket or cardigan.
Shoe Picks
The shoes we want this fall are a sleek, pointed toe boot or bootie and anything with a lug sole. Love the loafers as an easy shoe to throw on with everything. Everyone needs an updated white sneaker so this is a great time to grab a pair if you don’t already have one. And a few slip on styles to make a casual outfit look put together.
Tops Picks
Cardigan trends this fall consist of cropped with buttons, or a longer “coatigan” style. There’s no in between! I love the length on the cozy style here – you’re guaranteed to wear this style all fall, winter, and spring. Large collars on blouses and dresses are still trending and this off the shoulder top would look great with jeans for a night out.
Bottoms Picks
This fall we are wearing anything but skinny jeans! I will allow the faux leather legging but that’s where I draw the line. This midi skirt is also really cute and can be dressed up or down!
Coats & Jackets Picks
A tweed blazer or moto jacket can be thrown over almost anything and make the look put together. Coat trends for fall are sophisticated wool styles and longer styles with interesting quilting patterns. I love the hooded plaid coat ( a Maje knockoff). Still seeing a little bit of faux fur. Also LOVING anything tweed!
Lounge & Intimates Picks
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the perfect time to stock up on basics like tees and undies – I linked my favorites from past years. I love the Nordstrom take on the nap dress (pockets!) and the Barefoot Dreams matching set!
Accessories Picks
I kicked myself last year for not getting that Clare V bag when I had the chance. Loving all of the jewelry in the sale – especially the natural pearl earrings! And I might need to get myself a pair of Barefoot Dreams socks for some pampering.
Beauty Picks
I got some intel from the beauty guru at my local Nordstrom that Neulash is what you want for longer, thicker lashes so I’m going to try it. I already use and love the gloPro and Nuface. The Clarins Double Serum and Chantecaille Bio Lifting mask are new to me so I’m excited to try. The beauty deals are always one of my favorite parts of the sale!
Home Picks
The biggest item in the home section is of course the Barefoot Dreams blanket. They sell out every year! I’m excited to try the Nordstrom towels, I’ve heard they’re the best! I also had a chance to smell all of the candles in the sale and they’re all amazing!

Our 2019 Holiday Cards!
Every year since we moved into our house we’ve sent out Christmas cards. The last few years we’ve done picture cards to showcase our family photos. We have family and friends all over the country so it’s nice to send them a photo of our growing family! This year I was super excited to have a picture of my girls now that Ella is here.
We decided to use Basic Invite to order our photo cards this year. Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers almost unlimited color options with instant previews online. Once you select a design, you can change the color of each element on the card. With over 180 colors to choose from, you can make sure the card is exactly how you want it. This is what sets them apart from almost any other online stationery company. Basic Invite also has foil cards available in gold, silver, and rose gold. You can choose flat or raised foil on all of Basic Invite’s foil designs. For our cards I chose raised gold foil and it adds the perfect festive touch to our cards!
One awesome thing about Basic Invite is they are one of the few websites that allows you to order a printed sample of your actual invitation before you place your final order. You can see the paper quality and how it will print in real life and make sure the card is perfect! In the past I have had a different company mess up my cards and I had to re-order them, which meant I was forced to send my cards out later than I wanted. It’s so nice to be able to make sure your card is exactly how you want it before sending it out!
When it comes to addressing, Basic Invite offers an address capturing service that allows you to share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other social media to request your friends and family’s addresses. The addresses are stored in the your account and can be selected during the design process. I already had all of my addresses stored in a Google Doc and it was super easy to upload them to the site! Basic Invite offers address printing at no cost on all card orders. This includes the recipient address as well as your return address.
Basic Invite also has over 40 different envelope colors to choose from. With so many options, you can make your envelope match your card or invitation. Perfect if you want to stick to a color theme! All of Basic Invite’s envelopes are peel and seal so the envelopes can be closed quickly and securely. All I have to do is slap on a stamp and my cards are ready to send!
Right now Basic Invite has 15% off everything until the end of the month with code 15FF51. Here’s to sending a little holiday cheer and making it easy!
Thank you to Basic Invite for sponsoring this post!

What I’m Luvving This Week
It’s been a while since I’ve done a What I’m Luvving Friday! Life got in the way! We might get some snow tonight so I wanted to share some cozy November favorites.
I LOVE fur pom pom beanies! // Loving the idea of a faux fur scarf. // I bought this sweater in a green last year, thinking about picking up a second color. // I love the colors in this scarf. Adding to cart! // This turban beanie is so cute! // I have a version of this scarf from last year and it so soft and cozy. // You have to have a pair of Sorel boots for Wisconsin winters. // This sweater looks so soft and comfy. // This is one of my favorite cozy pullovers. // More fur pom poms!! // These pants look so comfy for lounging around the house.
Have a great weekend! Any fun plans? I’d love to hear!

My Picks From the Sephora Sale
Happy Memorial Day everyone! We have had a great weekend and I am enjoying one last day off before going back to work tomorrow. I wanted to hop on and share what I got from the Sephora Beauty Insider Event since today is the last day.
T3 Whirl Trio Interchangeable Styling Wand Never in my life did I think I would spend this much on a curling iron but it is so good and totally worth it! I love that you can change up your look by changing up the barrel. It heats up fast, it cools down fast, and my curls have been holding much better! Highly recommend!
AQUIS Lisse Luxe Hair Turban I’ve been using a tee shirt on my wet hair for years but I recently heard about this hair turban. It cuts drying time in half and controls frizz and breakage. Win, win, win!
Boscia Charcoal Makeup Melter Cleansing Balm I’ve been trying to find a more cost effective alternative to my Omorovicza charcoal balm so decided to try this one. I don’t like the texture as much as the Omorovicza but it definitely takes all my makeup off and leaves my pores looking clean.
Anastasia Stick Foundation I threw this in my cart on a whim after watching someone use it in a tutorial. It’s a semi-matte foundation in a stick form. It goes on quickly and smoothly and then I buff it in with a brush. I like the build-able coverage and the fact that I don’t need to use powder with it!
Becca Pressed Highlighter Mini in Champagne Pop I’m way late to the game on this highlighter. I’ve only heard good things about this so I decided to try a mini. It’s super glowy and pretty!
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray Mini I’ve been hearing lots of good things about this and especially since we take a lot of photos and videos after work I would like my makeup to stay intact. So far so good! I got the mini version to try it out for now.
Enjoy your Labor Day! I’ll be back with some great content this week so stay tuned!

July Blogger Collab
A few weeks ago I had the chance to participate in a super fun event for local Milwaukee bloggers. I had a blast meeting other ladies that share similar interests and learning about some local brands. The event was originally going to be held outside but the weather derailed our plans. Luckily Pin It Live came through and offered for us to use their space! I had never been there and it was the cutest space. And what a great idea! You can drink wine and make Pinterest projects! So fun!
Part of this blogging endeavor is about making connections. I’ve really been trying to put myself out there more and even though I was a little nervous to go to an event by myself where I didn’t know anyone, I had a really good time! We drank wine, ate Ian’s Pizza and Smashmallows, got to model some lovely Kendra Scott jewels, and got sent home with swag bags with goodies from MJ Creative Co, Tampon Tribe, Rit Dye, and Press Seltzer.
Here are some more pictures from the event if you would like to see!

I can’t thank Terressa and Amanda enough for pulling this together. I can’t wait for more events to hang out with these ladies again and meet more Milwaukee bloggers!

What I’m Luvving This Week
OMG. WHY did it take Friday so damn long to get here? I’m excited to lay low this weekend and spend some time outside with Matt and Margot.
Also – If you watch my Instagram stories and saw my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale try on I told you guys I had more stuff coming because I’m a ridiculous person. Well, here it is! There’s 9 days left of the sale and here’s what I’m keeping from my second order:
This lace yoke blouse is great for now and for fall layered with a cardigan. // I’m excited to wear this suede skirt with over the knee boots this fall. // The GloPro! I’ve been wanting to try this for so long and this is a great price. You get the face and eye micro-needling tools and some of their skincare products. Super excited to try this out and of course I’ll let you guys know what I think after I’ve been using it for about a month. // These sunglasses are adorable and a good price. These aren’t actually part of the sale, the tortoise color way was but I liked the black better and now the tortoise is sold out. // A neutral scarf is always a must for fall!
Have a great weekend! Any fun plans? I’d love to hear!

What I’m Luvving This Week
Happy Friday the 13th, friends! This week being back at work after everyone was gone for the 4th was a doozy. Luckily we had the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale to perk us up! This is my favorite time of year to shop and I get most of my fall and winter clothes from this sale. I will say that blogs and Instagram are super over-saturated with picks from this sale – don’t feel like you have to buy anything! But here is what landed in my cart yesterday:
I love the pretty pointelle detail on this cozy cardigan // It was time for a new pair of black booties // So excited for this cozy pullover! I wear stuff like this all winter so I know it will get a lot of use // AG Jeans are my favorite and this is a great time to get a pair on sale // The flat booties I got last year wore out to the point they had a hole in them! Excited for this new pair! // My favorite bras of all time, have to get a new one (or 2) every year.
I’m sure I will go back and find more things I need (that my wallet doesn’t). I may do a try on in my Insta stories when all of my purchases come in. I’ll also be doing a beauty post next week with some of my picks from the sale. Are you shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? Do you have any awesome picks I need to see?

What I’m Luvving This Week
It’s Friday! This has been a crazy busy and stressful week. I feel like I’ve been going non-stop lately and it doesn’t look like it’s going to let up any time soon. Work has just been totally insane, so much to work on and get done and not enough time. On top of it Margot is getting her canine teeth and is so cranky! Every day when we are driving home from work she’s been crying the whole way and it seriously grates on my nerves. Our commute is at least 40 minutes! By the time we get home I am in dire need of a glass of wine!
Luckily, the 4th of July is right around the corner and we will get a few days off. Hopefully we will be able to get away up north for the weekend for some relaxation. Here’s what I’ll be packing in my bag…
This top could not be any more perfect // I am declaring that jean skirts are back! // These slides would be so perfect with these outfits // Loving the sexy one piece trend! // A little dress with stars on it to throw over your swimsuit
Have a great weekend! I think we are going to visit my husband’s grandparents. Anyone doing anything fun? I’d love to hear!
